Reedsburg Student and Wisconsin Blue Devils AAA Hockey Player, Evelyn Gurney Killed in “Tragic” Car Crash
Evelyn Gurney Car Accident: Evelyn Gurney, a teacher from the Reedsburg School District, was murdered early on Friday morning in the Sauk County hamlet of Excelsior after being struck by a pickup truck.
The incident happened just before 7:30 a.m., according to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, as the student, Gurney, was waiting for a school bus.
On the Northwoods Drive side of Highway 23/33. The bus had to stop and move into the westbound lane to pick up a student.
Mourning her passing, Wisconsin Blue Devils AAA Hockey, wrote;
“Our Blue Devils family is mourning the loss of Evelyn Gurney. Evelyn joined our girls U12 team this season, and made quite the impact with her caring, fun and spunky personality on and off the ice. We are sending our deepest condolences to the Gurney family, friends and Reedsburg Hockey. If we have learned anything about the hockey community, we know that we will all rally together to support her family during this difficult time.
