One of Toronto’s premiere knife sharpeners, Nathan Hunter killed in tragic motorcycle accident

Nathan Hunter aka the Blade Medic, was one of Toronto’s premiere knife sharpeners.

Nathan sadly passed away in a fatal motorcycle accident on his way to study more sharpening, an online obituary announced on Thursday, May 11, 2023.

He is survived by his wife Nika and two-year-old son Darcy.

“Nathan Hunter was one of the kindest humans to grace this Earth. We first met after we called him to repair our kitchen knives. He brought them back to life and took time to patiently explain his process. Those conversations turned into sharing life stories. He loved this community. He was an incredible, caring person and one hell of a righteous dude. I’m sad. I’ll miss him,” a tribute post shared via Facebook read.
