Mr P refutes Dele Momodu’s claim that Peter Obi can’t win the presidency on the Labour Party’s platform [VIDEO]

Mr P of PSquare, a popular Nigerian singer, has gone to social media to respond to a statement by Nigerian journalist Dele Momodu claiming Presidential hopeful Peter Obi cannot win the 2023 election from the Labour Party.

Dele Momodu recently revealed this while appearing on TVC’s current affairs programme ‘Your View.’

Dele Momodu claimed it’s impossible for Peter Obi to receive the kind of votes Trump got in the US that no one expected or a huge number of young people to vote for him in the general election.

According to him, the first challenge Peter Obi would confront is raising funds for the party, which is now financially ailing and does not receive contributions from Nigerians.

Dele also stated emphatically that Peter Obi will not be able to win the presidential election with a fringe local party such as Labour.

“For me, the two best that were in PDP were me and Peter Obi, and he had absconded,” he said. I was in labour when I started my path, and the first challenge Obi will confront in Labour is raising funds for the party since it lacks funds and Nigerians do not contribute.

“I started shaking when I lost the first ten million because they said they were putting up a building.” You can’t win a presidential election with a fringe local party like Labour. Peter Obi, unlike me, has money, but can he spend it fighting Atiku and Tinubu if he becomes the All Progressives Party’s presidential candidate?

Reacting, Peter Okoye stated Dele’s speech is a giant slap in the face to the “Youths, The Masses, and The People” in a lengthy letter on his Twitter page.

He composed:

He composed:

“Sir Mr Dele Momodu, with all due respect!” Yes, Peter Obi may lack the financial and organisational resources. However, he now has the Youths, the Masses, and the People! The truth is that the structure is made up of us, the people. We are numerous and powerful. We can’t be distracted because we’re Obi-deint.”
