Motorcyclist dies after crashing into telephone pole in Weymouth

Police report that a motorbike rider in Weymouth died Saturday night after colliding with a telephone pole.

The Weymouth Police Department reports that around 11:05 p.m., there were numerous 911 calls concerning a motorbike accident close to 86 Charles St.

According to the authorities, the motorcycle’s rider was ejected from the vehicle after colliding with the telephone pole.

The unidentified motorist was taken to South Shore Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The Weymouth Police Department and Massachusetts State Police are both looking into the collision.
