Following a single-vehicle collision on Yorktown Boulevard earlier on Saturday evening, one individual is dead.
At 5 o’clock in the evening, Corpus Christi Police officers were called to the 6600 block of Yorktown. Lt. Michael Pena said that when the police arrived on the scene, they discovered a dead adult male motorcyclist.
First responders were informed by witnesses that the motorbike was driving east on Yorktown at a high pace when it lost control and collided with a pole.
According to the police, the motorist was using a helmet at the time of the collision.
As crews examined the site, all lanes on the westbound side were closed. All have reopened, according to a CCPD social media post from 7:17 p.m.
