Makala Perkins, a Grovetown resident who is 23 years old, was shot and killed on Deans Bridge Road early on Friday morning.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is looking into an attack that happened in the early hours.
Around 4:35 on Friday morning, according to the RCSO, it was called to the 3200 block of Deans Bridge Road. When deputies arrived on the site, they discovered a female who had been shot at least once.
She was taken to the hospital, where she suffered injuries and passed away.
The inquiry is still ongoing.
