Graham C. Kelly II is now charged in William Rickert following Erie shooting

Involuntary manslaughter charges have been brought against an Erie man for allegedly shooting and killing a man this past weekend.

Graham C. Kelly II was accused by Erie police of involuntary manslaughter, serious assault, and other offenses.

It happened on the 1100 block of East 26th Street on Saturday at about 11:15 p.m.

Kelly claimed to be stretching with the gun when it went off, shooting the victim in the head, according to authorities. Kelly and others were recording music in the basement at the time.

William Rickert, 24, of Erie, was the victim; he was taken to UPMC Hamot but passed away there.

Rickert underwent an autopsy by the Erie County Coroner’s Office, but a determination has not yet been made.
