Charles D. Owen Middle School student, Kylee Wilhelm dies by suicide

“Kylee was the type of girl you could get along with no matter what…She was one of the most amazing girls you could ever meet in your life.”

A Charles D. Owen Middle School 7th grader who died unexpectedly in Buncombe County, North Carolina, is now identified as Kylee Wilhelm.

According to reports, Kylee hung herself at home on Thursday night.

“Kylee Wilhelm did her best to be happy around her friends. She took her own life last night right after our chorus concert,” a social media post read. “None of us would have expected it. She was laughing and talking, as if nothing was wrong.”

“Kylee Wilhelm was the girl everybody wanted to be. She was perfect in every way, shape and form. Nobody doubted her ability. She was an amazing teammate and an even greater friend. I haven’t met one person who had a bad thing to say about her.”
