Carthage College Pastor and Racine, Wisconsin Resident, Kara Baylor Died After Battling Cancer
Kara Baylor Obituary: On Thursday morning, May 25, 2023, Kara Skatrud Baylor, a resident of Racine, Wisconsin, and a minister at Carthage College, tragically departed away. She was declared dead by a social media outlet with the following headline:
“I am just devastated at the news of the passing of a dear light in our synod, Pastor Kara Baylor. Just yesterday we lifted her in prayer at our Conference gathering, and this morning I woke up with her on my mind, intending to give her a call. I’m so sorry I never got to make that call. Rest eternal grant her, O Lord.”
According to her social media profiles, Kara Skatrud Baylor was a native of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, and a resident of Racine, Wisconsin. She was the pastor of the college.
Pastor Kara was ordained in 2000 and served as an associate pastor at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran in Racine from 2000 until 2014. She served as the campus pastor at Carthage College in Kenosha from 2014 to 2023.
Pastor Kara’s consistency, grace, humor, compassion, convictions, and tenacity make a significant impact on many people. We will miss her terribly.
