A tragic hit-and-run accident is being looked into by the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) in Chatham County.
The Chatham County Police Department requested GSP to look into the collision at Hannah Lane and Ferguson Avenue at 10:45 on Thursday night.
The biker was rear-ended by a car when he was riding down Ferguson Avenue, according to the authorities. Ferguson Avenue was being traveled south by the vehicle as she fled the scene.
The bicyclist passed away from his wounds at Memorial Health, according to GSP.
The implicated car is a silver Ford, according to troopers’ analysis of the scene’s vehicle pieces.
No one saw the collision, and there were no cameras around that captured it, claims GSP.
