Authorities identify crash victim pulled from Piscataway Waterway as Alquan Green of New Brunswick

The driver of the car that slammed into a brook off Lake Nelson in Piscataway after crashing over a barrier on Metlars Lane has been identified.

According to a township spokeswoman, Alquan Green, 30, of New Brunswick was traveling north on Metlars Lane on Saturday night when the collision happened.

Green was extricated from the submerged debris by neighborhood residents and local police officers, who also administered CPR at the scene. Green was transferred to a local hospital where he passed away from his wounds and was declared dead.

Investigations are ongoing.
