Early on Sunday morning, a 17-year-old kid was shot and killed at Makaha Beach Park in Waianae. When HPD arrived on the scene at roughly one in the morning, the teen had already been declared dead.
The suspect was recognized by Honolulu Police on Sunday night. He is a young local man of sixteen.
The guy allegedly fled the area in a white car with another male, according to reports. The Honolulu Fire Department then reacted a short while later to a car fire that had broken out close to Waianae Valley Road’s end.
The automobile is the suspect’s, according to the inquiry. The car has been found, and as of Monday am it is at the police station pending the issuance of a warrant allowing investigators to search it for evidence.
On Sunday night, the suspect was discovered and taken into custody in Liliha. Although HPD has not yet disclosed his identify, officials said that the shooter and the victim had been in an argument before the shooting.
The family is still in mourning.
